Margarita A Mexican Would Actually Drink Recipe
Find out how to make Margarita A Mexican Would Actually Drink from this easy Margarita Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 oz blanco tequila (good brands are Milagro, Patron, Herradura, etc)
- 3/4 oz. Cointreau (not triple sec!)
- 3 - 4 lime wedges squeezed
- a dash of simple syrup
- a pinch of salt
- two or three splashes of Paul Newman's Lemonade or a similar good quality Lemonade (Don't use margarita mix or sour mix. Bought in a store, these are generally crappy and gross.)
Directions:
Pour tequila over ice in a shaker. Use a pourer to measure. Count one-one thousand, two-one thousand, three-one thousand, four. (Which may not be exactly 2 oz but is close). Add Cointreau--an elongated one-one thousand--then squeezed limes, salt, and lemonade. Do not go crazy with the Lemonade or you will ruin the drink. A few splashes is enough. Shake. Fill fresh ice into a rocks glass or strain into a martini glass. Also remember to salt rim if desired.
